The HMS Victory Oak Collection

David Roger Burton

Built between 1759 and 1765 HMS Victory, Lord Nelson's flagship at Trafalgar is the oldest and most celebrated of the World's sailing war ships.

When dry docked in Portsmouth in 1922 to be preserved for the nation, it was necessary to remove over thirty tons of oak and copper in order to secure her final resting place

David has been working with the salvaged materials of HMS Victory since 2001 to create heirlooms with integrity ensuring that the heritage material from our great naval history is preserved for generations to come.

The gallery offers a wide, varied, ever changing collection of hand crafted items from small collectable gifts to large inspirational wall hangings, natural oak forms and furniture, celebrating Victory, Nelson and his County of Norfolk. Please contact David to discuss available pieces.
