Every picture tells a story, the way David Roger Burton paints and writes is innovative and unique. Firstly he paints a series of seemingly unconnected images, then spends long periods of time looking for the hidden story within them; much like a sculpter may ponder the marble block, observing and asking it what it wants to be. When he finally sees the story he will then try to work it into a cohesive whole. Characters and plots emerge and a story evolves, in this way he creates a vehicle to blend myth and hope into a believable whole new world.
Fredrickson's father King Frederick is obsessed with finding the place he believes life started, he calls this imaginary place 'The place God was born.'
